Transparenz Bike
2017 Modelling
The intention of my study of the transparent bike was to have living microorganisms in the frame. The living microorganisms will help the bike driver in several problems. The first would be that it can glow in the night and gives a bright shining of street safety.
For the design process I used different mediums, which are often used in the automotive industry. In the beginning I started with line drawings and finalized them with a 1:1 tape rendering. The tape rendering worked also very well on a bike frame.
After designing the side view of the bike frame I started to transfer the shape to the 3rd dimension. For this step decided to work with a wooden frame as a base construcution and added clay to geht on to the final shape.
